Welcome to my blog, Happy Days In Barcelona! Here you can read all about the adventures of a recently graduated Dutch/German couple living and working in Spain. 

My name is Pauline, I’m 24 years old and one year ago I moved with my German boyfriend Christoph (26) to Barcelona, Spain. Before the great move I spent five years in a great little student city called Groningen, located in the north of the Netherlands, where I studied Romance Languages and Cultures with a major in French. Chris and I graduated around the same time and we both decided a long time ago that we wanted to move abroad. 

It all started when Chris did an internship in Barcelona a few years ago; I visited him for several weeks. We instantly fell in love with this city. We imagined ourselves living and working here and we never stopped talking about it since. 

About this blog

Happy days in Barcelona is about moving abroad, finding work in these not-so-easy times for the freshly graduated, about discovering a city, “international living” and above all just enjoying life. I also tend to overload the posts with pictures.
